Someone commits acts of violence that become well-known to the public. Some uninformed person(s) transmit to the public the suggestion that bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness) is to blame. Such is the case with pop star Chris Brown.
To those who make this misconnection: Stop it. Bipolar disorder does not cause a sufferer to be violent. Read the article I wrote on this topic a few years ago when a man later described as having this disorder committed acts of violence at the Pentagon.:
