We know, thanks to David Ray Griffin and others, that the FBI remained silent when the original media stories came out about passengers using cell phones to make numerous calls.
And we know that the FBI, confronted by evidence from AK Dewdney and others that cell phone calls do not work on planes in flight, provided a new official version of the calls by labeling all but two of them air phone calls in a report for the Moussaoui trial in 2006.
At that trial, the FBI quietly admitted that Olson had made one call that was “unconnected.”
As for Beamer, the same records show him making his call to Jefferson and another call from the same phone AT THE SAME SECOND!
And the call to Jefferson went on for OVER AN HOUR, long past the time of the “crash.”
Lisa Jefferson, who reportedly took Beamer’s call, failed to write down the start time of the call. So we could not verify when the call actually started, even if we were to agree that it did.
There was no need to get either Barbara Olson or Todd Beamer to make these calls, to use imposters or voice “morphing.” What was needed was for someone to contact Ted Olson and Lisa Jefferson and convince them to relay what we now call the official story to the media.
Someone, perhaps an insider, could have contacted Olson and told him:
“Ted, we need a favor. And if you know what is good for you, you will do it for us. Just get a hold of CNN and tell them you received a call from your wife earlier today. Your story is simple: your wife was on one of those hijacked planes and she told you…”
Someone could have called Verizon, gotten to Jefferson, and run a similar story:
“Lisa, listen to me closely. Your country needs you to deliver a message from a passenger on one of those planes, United 93. You work with his widow and you give the media a hero who fought back against those terrorists and your job is safe…”
What about the other alleged calls?
Few of them, if any, can be confirmed. Valid questions about consistencies between calls and questionable statements have arisen to challenge the authenticity of each.
The manner of communication matters little as all of the “calls” promoted the same incorrect information as the “calls” from Olson and Beamer. There is every reason to believe that similar tactics could have been used in creating more false calls.
Without the fake calls, we would have no word on hijackers, knives, box cutters, red bandanas, imminent plane crashes, etc. Who would our leaders have blamed for what happened?
Ted Olson and Lisa Jefferson were two people caught in a dilemma between the story they knew to be true and the story they were urged and even coerced to promote. History is rarely written by those who stand and collect the facts. It is written with fear of the future.
